Most people believe that collecting stamps and other items is a hobby for a very limited number of young children and fellow citizens 80+. How far are these people from the truth! You will find among those approx. 60 million stamp collectors in the world many famous names from the worlds of business, politics, sports and entertainment.
Nicolas Sarkozy: The 23rd President of France has collected stamps since his youth. As a source at the Elysee Philatelist Club told the UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper "Mr Sarkozy's collection is slowly growing into one of the most impressive in the world because of all the international leaders he is in regular contact with."
Bill Gross: William H. Gross is known as a bond guru, co-founder and chief investment officer of successful Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO). He started to invest tens of millions of USD in stamps in 1992. Very well-known are his collections of U.S., Scandinavia, Swiss as well as British Empire stamps. He raised tens of millions of USD for charity from stamp sales.
Luís Figo: Luís Filipe Madeira Caeiro Figo is a former Portuguese professional footballer, who played for famous football clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan. He won 127 caps for the Portugal national team and retired in May 2009. There is a note in some literature about his award-winning collection.
I also randomly select from my book:

Ron Wood - Rolling Stones guitarist
The Queen Elizabeth II.
You can find out more in my book "Postage stamps - a hobby or an investment?", which was published in Czech at the end of December and is available directly from me (I still have a few copyright copies), or from all good booksellers (if they do not have it in stock, just ask them to order it for you at the Kosmas.cz – a wholesale distributor). The English version of the book will be published probably at the beginning of 2022.
