Many philatelists present their collections at professional philatelic exhibitions held at many levels. The exhibition can be regional, national, European or world. In order to get into one of the "higher" groups, you must first succeed in the lower ones and thus nominate yourself for the next level.

But not every collector knows that specialized books also enter competitions and are exhibited. In the autumn of 2022, I tried for the first time to exhibit my book Poštovní známky – koníček, nebo investice? (Postage Stamps - a hobby or an investment?) at the European Philatelic Exhibition in Liberec (Czech Republic), for which I won the Vermeil Medal.

In June 2023, the book took part at the exhibition in Bratislava, Slovakia, and won a gold medal!

And why was my book unexpected success? It must be added that the members of the jury committees do not consider my book to be strictly philatelic and therefore it will be almost impossible to get a higher award for it.

The English version of my book will be published during the year 2024.
